To establish a uniform method of use for the incident accountability
system adopted by the Lapeer County Fire Association.

Radio use during multiple alarm incidents
The purpose of this policy is to insure incident operations are not
hindered by undue radio traffic, especially during multiple alarm incidents.

intervention teams
The purpose of this policy is to insure that rapid intervention teams
are formed at all structure fires responded to by Lapeer County Fire
Departments. This will insure that a rapid intervention team is immediately
available to respond to any report of a firefighter trapped, or injured, in
a structure fire. This policy is a firefighter safety policy.

To provide standardized “plain English” radio terminology for use by
Lapeer County Fire Departments.

The purpose of this policy is to provide standardized radio
procedures for use by Lapeer County Fire Departments.

evacuation
The purpose of this policy is to insure that all personnel are aware
of what justifies an emergency evacuation from a structure or incident area,
and are familiar with the emergency evacuation signals used by all Lapeer
County Fire Departments.

Mayday policy
The purpose of this policy is to insure that all personnel are aware of
what situations require calling a May Day and are familiar with the
procedures used by all Lapeer County Fire Departments in the event a May Day
is called.

Decontamination trailer responsibilities
This policy is to assure that the resource is maintained in working order
and ready to respond in a safe manner, and to set guidelines for use of the
equipment for decontamination.

Creation of new LCFA policies
This policy outlines the steps to institute a new L.C.F.A. policy, or
modify an existing policy. This policy will ensure that all new policies,
and modifications to existing policies, follow the same steps/procedure for
adoption.

Compliance policy for LCFA policies & procedures
L.C.F.A. policies/procedures are adopted by a vote of the membership. If
a policy/procedure is approved, by a vote, it is an adopted
policy/procedure. If any adopted policy/procedure is going to achieve its
specified goal it is mandatory that we have 100% compliance with all adopted
policies. Therefore we must have a procedure for addressing non-compliance.
This policy addresses non-compliance with L.C.F.A. policies/procedures.

This policy outlines the normal circumstances in which the All-Call
page may be used.

Mobile command vehicle driver operator training
This policy outlines the requirements for achieving and maintaining
certification to drive and operate the Mobile Command Vehicle (MCV).

Notification of driver operators of mobile command vehicle
This policy outlines the methods used to notify certified operators of
the need to have the Mobile Command Vehicle respond to an incident.

This policy outlines the normal procedure for scheduling the use of the
Mobile Command Vehicle (MCV) at community special events.

The purpose of this policy is to provide guidance and requirements for
the use of a debit card issued for and authorized by the Lapeer County Fire
Association (LCFA).

AED usage policy
The purpose of this document is to provide general guidelines and
direction for the use of the automatic external defibrillator (AED) kept at
the LCFA Training Center. This AED is jointly owned by Elba Township and the
City of Lapeer and is located next to the computer in the classroom.

Website policy
